Many churches struggle to find musicians of the quality that can lift them like the CD they play in the car or like the band at the big Christian gig they visit once a year. Yes you can buy backing tracks on CD and sing along to ordinary worship CDs but they usually repeat the chorus just when your flagging congregation want to sit down and they usually go all instrumental when they just want to let it all out.
When I got hold of a Yamaha PSR2000 recently I was amazed how easy it was to become a full band and play live. PSR Styles chosen to suite worship songs can be a great compromise between the CD solution and the lack of a band.

I’ve been matching PSR Styles to songs and creating ‘gig’ discs, a concept that simply involves renaming styles to the name of the song for easy access. So as I build up my database of worship song styles I’ll be sharing them here.
