No worship group – get a keyboard?

At the end of last year I managed to pick up a Yamaha PSR2000 for a few pennies. I have used it a few times at church now and it strikes a good compromise between using backing CDs and the lack of other musicians. If you don’t have many musisians, this may be a solution (though you do need seomone who can hit the keyboard).

We have used CDs quite a lot in our worship and still do. They work well, but ‘live’ music gives you more flexibility and doesn’t leave you with awkward moments when the CD stops and you were just itching to hit that last chorus again. Or the panic when you have to switch CDs between songs.
